About Pirrung Auctioneers, Inc.

Victor J. “Pat” Pirrung

February 15, 1915-

April 1, 2001

The company was founded as a sole proprietorship by Victor J. (“Pat”) Pirrung, a graduate of Reppert's School of Auctioneering, in 1950.  Vic worked sales and established himself working with various local auctioneers culminating with his association with the late Harry Cole, a very prominent auctioneer of Penn Yan, NY, who passed away in 1965.  With 15 years of experience, “Pat” was ready to work on his own and established an untarnished reputation for hard work and ethical service which continued until his last sale in 1992.

At age 6, Jimmy Pirrung was placed in service as an “auctioneer and all around auction hand” and worked under his father's tutelage at what would become a lifelong career.  After graduating Alfred State College with an Associate's Degree in Business Administration in 1975, Jim was brought in as a partner.  On May 1, 1978, Pirrung Auctioneers, Inc. was chartered in the State of New York for the purpose of "conducting auctions and appraisals professionally.”

In 1985 Jim purchased all outstanding stock of Pirrung Auctioneers, Inc. and began to vertically and horizontally expand the business to various states.  This allows direct, immediate business activity within specific states or through reciprocity, access in a reasonable time period to other states.  To date, Jim Pirrung has conducted auctions in 13 states.  He is well known and respected as an auctioneer, sales manager and product promoter.

Licensed, bonded, insured, fully equipped, and backed by a seasoned, hand picked support staff, Pirrung Auctioneers, Inc. is ready, willing, and able to assist you through all phases of a successful auction sale.  To arrange a no obligation consultation, call us at 585-728-2520.
